Vado

Support

Vado is made by one runner who builds it and runs on it. There's no ticket queue and no support bot — email goes to a real person, and that person reads every note.

hello@vado.run

Bug reports, questions, refund help, feature ideas — all of it goes here. If you're reporting something that went wrong, the three things that help most are your device (iPhone and/or Apple Watch model), the iOS/watchOS version, and what you were doing when it happened.

Feature requests are genuinely welcome

Vado gets built with the people running on it. If something's missing or an idea would make your training better, send it — good ones get built, and you'll hear back either way.

Quick answers

How do I cancel my subscription or get a refund?

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple, not by us — we never see your payment details. Cancel any time in the App Store app → your account → Subscriptions, or in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Refunds are also Apple's to issue: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you're stuck, email us and we'll help you chase it.

How do I delete my account and my data?

In the app: Settings → your account → Delete account. That permanently removes your account and every row belonging to it — runs, routes, settings and training state — deletes your route files from our storage, and revokes Vado's access to your Strava if you'd connected it. It's a hard delete and can't be undone.

It does not touch your Apple Health data, which stays on your device and remains yours. Delete that in the Health app if you want it gone too.

Do I need an account?

No. Vado works fully offline with no account at all. Signing in only adds cloud backup of your training data and Strava upload. If you never sign in, nothing leaves your device.

My runs aren't showing up, or distance looks wrong

Vado reads and writes your runs through Apple Health, so if history looks empty the usual cause is Health permissions. Check iOS Settings → Apps → Health → Data Access & Devices → Vado and confirm the categories are on. For distance, outdoor runs use GPS and need location access while running; indoors — on a treadmill — there's no GPS, so the app estimates distance from motion instead, which can drift from what the treadmill displays.

How do I connect or disconnect Strava?

Both live in the app's Settings. Connecting is optional and off by default; disconnecting takes effect immediately, and deleting your Vado account revokes Vado's Strava access automatically.

How do I stop the "Vado news" emails?

Turn the "Vado news" toggle off in Settings → your account, or tap the one-tap unsubscribe link in any of those emails. Either one stops them. It's off by default, so if you never switched it on you were never on that list.

I signed up on this website for launch news

That list is completely separate from the app, and it's used for exactly one email — the one that says Vado is out. Want off it, or want the address deleted? Email us and it's done.

Privacy

What the app collects, what it never collects, and every choice you have is written out in plain language in the Privacy Policy. The short version: no ads, no cross-app tracking, no third-party analytics or marketing SDKs, and your health data stays on your device unless you switch on a feature that sends specific pieces of it.
